Part of our Family History: Dr. William M. Scholl founded his iconic foot-comfort empire after working as a teen apprentice at Ruppert’s Shoe Store on Chicago's Madison Street in the early 1900s. Observing customer foot ailments, he patented his first arch support, the "Foot-Eazer," in 1904 and sold them successfully at Ruppert's before launching his own company in 1906. (He worked for my Great Grandfather) Here is a picture of a window advertisement, was done in Canvas. I have this canvas stored away, it is about 120 years old.
