Had my "weekend" which is Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Took my lady to a yuppie part of town to an upscale Thai restaurant as kind of a Valentines day date. Cheesy and cliche I know, but honestly we rarely ever make time for date night outings. Definitely never at classy places either, we are very out of place 😂
Pretty incredible food and drinks, spent nearly $200 including the tip. That's a decent chunk of change for us, but we felt it was worth the experience, and we had a magnificent time.
After getting off work a little early tonight, I had an itch to degen a bit on some video lottery. Old bad habit I try to keep at bay, but sometimes you get a strong gut feeling that feels more like intuition and less like impulse. Decided to risk it.
Bar was packed with cheerful boomers, loud live music playing classic rock adaptations. Profited $600 after a very lucky bonus round when I was down to the last twenty bucks of what I set aside for this impromptu excursion.
Immediately took it to the bank for bills. When you are up gambling/degening, walk away always. That's a hard lesson I have learned and why I don't gamble or dabble in crypto very often these days.
But when your gut talks... listen to it. Mine always told me that Fomo, Veta, and VSocial had the potential to be something incredible. Convictions are purer and stronger than impulses, learning to differentiate is a personal struggle for us all.
