Which trigger it and how to reduce reactions (Part2/2)
Not all peptides trigger mast cells equally. Some are more likely to cause histamine release in sensitive individuals, including:
• GHK-Cu
• MOTS-c
• Ipamorelin and GH secretagogues
• BPC-157 (in some individuals)
This doesn’t mean the peptide is harmful. It means the immune system is already sensitized.
DAO is critical.
DAO (diamine oxidase) breaks down histamine. When DAO is low, histamine accumulates and reactions become more likely.
Common causes of low DAO include:
• Gut inflammation
• Nutrient deficiencies (especially B6 and copper)
• Chronic immune stress
Supporting mast cell stability may help:
• Vitamin C
• Vitamin B6
• Magnesium
• Zinc
• Healthy gut function
Key point:
The reaction is often related to immune sensitivity and histamine regulation not the peptide itself.
