Deadly Galerina: The tiny brown killer that hides in plain sight ☠️🍄
A deadliest little mushroom most foragers miss.
Galerina marginata contains the same amatoxins as the Death Cap. Grows on decaying wood in clusters, looks like innocent brown edibles. One cap can cause liver & kidney failure with delayed symptoms.
Key ID tip: Brown to tawny Bell-shaped cap, flattens out and color may fade with age, brown gills, cap often appear moist/sticky, Rusty-brown spore print, small size (1–5 cm), thin stem with faint ring.
Rule I live by: When in doubt throw it out.
