New Zealand has confirmed it will not be deploying the Navy’s 4.8-metre Quintrex vessel along with its two personnel to the Strait of Hormuz.
While tensions remain high in the region, officials made it clear the small patrol craft will stay home.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most strategically sensitive shipping lanes, but NZ will not be contributing naval assets at this time.
