Devil’s Fingers: The alien mushroom that hatches from an egg like a horror movie monster 👽🍄
Clathrus archeri — the Octopus Stinkhorn.
It starts as a pure white “egg” buried in the soil. Then… it erupts. Four to eight bright-red, slimy arms burst out, covered in black spore goo that smells like rotting flesh. Flies go crazy for it.
Native to Australia but now invading forests worldwide, this thing looks like it crash-landed from another planet. Medieval foragers called it “the devil’s hand reaching up from hell.”
Nature’s most dramatic entrance — and one of the most beautiful (and disgusting) sights in the woods.
Would you touch one? Or run screaming? Drop your honest reaction (or a photo if you’ve met the devil’s fingers) below — the network needs to see this madness! 👇
